BES the Protector of the Home

Bes The Protector of the Home

I have noticed the similarities of the names of Bes and the Spiritual properties of Basil. Our Ancestors have often hidden our knowledge in children's stories and characters to engage our memories to hold onto and "Re-Member" wisdom. The similarities in the spiritual properties found in the old knowledge of herbs and their medicinal and healing applications were often the only remedies for people with no access to doctors or hospitals. These characters represent our mother's wisdom that was passed down from generation to generation.

Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop is an accomplished historian who warned 14 PhDs in Science, stated the first inhabitants of Africa south of the Sahara were the Twa and Khoisan, the later West African and Bantu came from the Sahara, the Nile Valley, and West Asia.

Mainstream historians never credited the Saharan for domesticating the horse and inventing the plow and chariot, yet Basil Davidson shows Africans migrating from the Sahara to West Africa and the Nile Valley.

The Twa people of Africa were among the first Africans to people the world. They created the first advanced civilizations worldwide.

Many Chinese, Japanese, and Mayans are the same 5’0″ size as the Twa because they are descendant of Twa people. If you look closely you can see their Twa phenotype. It looks like outside Africa the Twa and other African ethnic group mixed with other people and their descendants who are really the same African people.

Globe Trotting Twas:

The Twa aka Anu lived from the Nile Valley to Mali(called Tellen). They lived in Portugal, Germany, and England(called Picts and Lapps). They lived in Scandinavia where they are called Finns(Finland name after them).

The Twa lived in Groeland, Canada(called Skraelings), North America(called Mounds Builders). They lived in the tip of South America where they are called the Fuegians.

Moving West to Hawaii where the Twa were called Menehune. In the Philippine Islands, they were called Negritos by the Spanish. In Indonesia on the Island of Flores, skeletons of Twa were called Hobbits. In India, we find the Twa in an island in the Bay of Bengals where they are called Andaman Islanders. Yes, The Twa are found all over the world.

In the book, The First Americans Were African by David Imhotep.

First Civilization:

The first Paleolithic man was the Twa who evolved in Central Africa at the source of the Nile Valley and from here all originated (civilization) and was carried throughout the world. The Twa created spirituality. They are the first humans. The connection between Twa, Khoi, and Masaba connected with the Nilotic black-created spiritual systems. The first Nilotic Egyptian Gods were Twa(Ptah, Bes) and the Goddess were Twa according to

Albert Churchward and Gerald Massey, Authors of Occultic Understanding.

The Pygmy believed in a father God who was killed. A virgin mother who gave birth to a Savior son who avenged the death of his father. These become Asr(Osiris,) Auset(Isis,) and Heru(Horus) of Kemet (Egypt.)

The Pygmy had developed in the distant past a highly technical and advanced type of material culture and they built boats traveling all over the world. But civilization brought them nothing but bad luck, so preferring happiness to misery, they finally gave up this high material civilization. Pygmy fossils have been found in all parts of the world.

Christianity before Christ by John G Jackson.

Anthropological Studies:

Jean Pierre Hallet was a Belgian-born anthropologist who lived with the Twas and studied their history and culture for more than 20 years. Hallet’s Pygmy friends told him that in the distant past, they developed a highly technical and advanced type of material culture and that they built boats and traveled widely around the world, but that this technical excellence bought them nothing but bad luck, so, preferring happiness to misery, they finally gave up this high material civilization. There may be a lot of truth in these traditions, for Pygmy fossils have been found in all parts of the world.”

-John G. Jackson ‘Christianity Before Christ’

Found in Wikipedia: "Bes (pron.: /bɛs/; also spelled as Bisu) is a Kemetic (Ancient "Egyptian") Icon, symbolized as a protector of households, and in particular, of mothers and children and childbirth. Bes later came to be regarded as the defender of everything good and the enemy of all that is bad. While past studies identified Bes as a Middle Kingdom import from Nubia, more recent research indicates that he was present in Egypt since the start of Old Kingdom. Mentions of Bes can be traced to pre-dynastic Nile Valley cultures; however, his form appears to be found all over the world."

Ma Bes can be found all over the Planet

Within the center of the Aztec calendar is the symbol of Bes, wagging her tongue, as a protector, daring any challenge.

BES IS THE BLACK PRESENCE ALL OVER THE WORLD!
BES IS THE BLACK TWA MAN APPEARING IN EUROPE.
BES IS THE LEPRECHAUN, THE ELF, THE FAIRY,  AND APPEARING AS SWARTE PETE AND SINTER KLAS...

The Black Queen Mother is the Temple pillars and throne of all mankind and the origin of Civilization. Bes is her ambassador and protector.

Bes is the spiritual protector, promoter, and healer of the home and family. He/She encourages fertility and watches over and teaches parents and children in their growth and development. Bes holds all of the wisdom and knowledge of the earth. She knows the cycles of time and the seasons. She knows the healing properties of all herbs. She is familiar with gardens, forests, animals, insects, lakes, rivers, mountains, and caves. She knows the prayers, chants, lyrics, limericks, lullabies, bedtime stories, dances, mathematics, letters, formulas, recipes, and words of power. He symbolizes the Shaman healer of the Nome or Klan. He is chemistry and physics. She represents the Sage, guardian and spiritual intuitive energy to ward off hostile energy from your family, life, home, office or wherever it is present. Bes controls The weather, the rain and the wind, the earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Bes is Majic. He loves gold and can draw wealth and prosperity to the home. You can find this symbolic image of Bes all over the world. The earliest images of Elves, Trolls, Leprechauns, Fairies and Gnomes from all over the world were Black. The people are all characteristic and symbolic of our ancient Ancestors -the Twa and Khoisan (also known as "Pygmy") Mother and Father, with their history and wisdom of nature and the universe.

Here is an excerpt of a great find of the manuscript below:

On the extreme right of the façade: A Pygmy in the court of Egypt.

Pepy II's letter to Herkuf

A fourth, unnarrated, campaign to the land of Yam must have taken place, during which Harkhuf sent a letter to the young king Pepi II to inform him, particularly, that he was bringing back a pygmy, which resulted in the rest of the inscription. In fact, Pepi II wrote a letter in reply to that of Harkhuf, who was so proud of it that he had the text inscribed on the façade of his tomb in Aswan. Since little space remained, he had to prepare a space for it at the extreme right of the façade. Thus, the only complete royal letter dating from the old Kingdom has reached us.:

“ Seal of the king Himself. Second year of His reign, third month of the season akhet, fifteenth day. Royal decree (to) the Sole Companion, Lector-Priest, chief of interpreters, Harkhuf.

I have acquainted myself with the words of your letter, which you addressed to the king in the palace to inform him that you travelled in peace to the land of Yam, with the army, which accompanied you. You said in your letter that you were bringing back all sorts of presents, important and beautiful, which Hathor, lady of Imaou, gave for the ka of the king of Upper and Lower Egypt, Neferkare- may he live eternally and forever! You also say in your letter that you will bring back a pygmy (for) the dances of the God and coming from the land of the inhabitants of the horizon and similar to the pygmy which the treasurer of the God, Bawerded brought back from Punt in the time of the king Isesi. cartouche of king Djed-Ka-Re (Isesi)

You also say to My Majesty: never before has such a (pygmy) been brought back by any of those who have visited the land of Yam. It is said that, each year, you accomplish that which your royal Lord wishes and praises. You pass your days and your nights thinking of doing that which your Lord wishes, praises and commands. So My Majesty will act such that the numerous and excellent honours which are yours shall also please the sons of your son for eternity and that men will say, when they hear what my Majesty has done for you“ is there any parallel to that which was done for the Sole Companion Harkhuf when he came back from the land of Yam, because of the diligence with which he carried out that which his Lord wished, praised and commanded.?”

Come back, then, to the north, to the Residence. Leave (everything) and bring with you the pygmy which you have brought from the land of the inhabitants of the horizon, alive, in good health and strong so that he may dance for the God and make cheerful and rejoicing the heart of the king of Upper and Lower Egypt, Neferkare- may he live eternally!

If you come with him in the ship, set well-advised men about him on both sides of the boat and take care that he does not fall in the water. If he lies down to sleep during the night, have wise men to sleep beside him in his tent; go and check, ten times in the night. Because My Majesty wishes to see this pygmy more than all the tributes of Sinai or Punt.

If you reach the Residence and the pygmy is with you, alive, in good health and strong, My Majesty will do great things for you, more important than those which were done for the treasurer of the God, Bawerded, in the time of the king Isesi, according to the desire which My Majesty has to see this famous pygmy. Orders have been sent to the chief of the new town, Sole Companion and steward of the priests to command that victuals be taken by his care in every warehouse town and in every temple, without exception.

Zwarte Piet/ Pieten(Black Pete) is a character who has deep roots in traditional Dutch and Netherlands folklore. He appears in The Netherlands as a Spanish Moor (common to southern Holland in the 1500s), in caricature, as a Black man, with gold earrings and colorful period costumes of a Spanish Moor.

The story goes that Zwarte Piet chose to work with Saint Nicholas as his engineer and magical accompaniment. Since the 18th century in Holland, he has been depicted as a companion to Saint Nicholas in all of his holiday travels. Zwarte Pieten is today commonly depicted as a black person in the colorful pantaloons, feathered cap and ruffles of a Renaissance Moor, This character and tradition was later recorded in a children's book published in 1850. Zwarte Pieten is often portrayed as a mischievous but rarely mean-spirited character, the character is believed to have been derived from Bes the spirit pagan after his traditions. Nowadays, Zwarte Pieten has become a much more respected assistant of Saint Nicholas, often humorous, self-determined, majical, and playful.

Wikipedia:

Zwarte Piet (pronounced ['zʋɑrtə pit], "Black Pete") is the companion of Saint Nicholas (DutchSinterklaas from which the American figure of Santa Claus is derived) in the folklore of the Low Countries. In its modern form, the character is commonly depicted as a blackamoor, with blackface make-up, and dressed in stylized colourful Renaissance attire, akin to Maures in European heraldry, and similar to Moorish characters in the "Moors and Christians" Iberian folk festivals commemorating the Reconquista.

Currently, the media is presenting articles about the many Black people who are protesting the public displays of Zwarte Piet by Dutch people wearing "blackface" and Moorish styled costumes. So now the Dutch, meet Globalization –We now exist in a global world and that means we have to expand our knowledge about other cultures and peoples that make up diverse societies. The festival of Black Pete does, appear to be the glaring elephant in the room in the face of the invasion of South Africa by the Dutch!.. I now reflect back as a child living in Germany, people were so fascinated by us when they saw us at public Shopping districts. They would sometimes approach me and touch my skin… Seeing us must have brought back childhood memories of Black Pete. Understanding that the depiction of Moors and Moorish people in Europe has been slanted as one of servitude, now there are more Black citizens in Europe that live as equals and in authority, all over Europe.

The History of the Moors in Spain goes back to a successful harmony of rulership for almost 1000 years.

Black Europeans were actually still in existence, living as Original peoples, up to their discovery by Nazis, who gave them the choice of sterilization or incarceration in a death camp.

Actually, Black Pete was free to voluntarily work with SinterKlass. He had the upper hand over his counterpart and was the essential agent in the success of this operation for children. Yet the perpetuation of the depiction of servitude, (which reinforces the idea that Black people should be always in that role,) together with the horrible history and tradition of blackface in the US, means that it is time to revisit some of the old traditions and change them. It does matter that the tradition of blackface was the most prominent and therefore most hurtful in the United States. But as with all things, we must find the balance between honoring what is important and adapting to the need to respect the human dignity of all. If we wish to remember or honor the tradition of "Black Pete", then let him be portrayed by willing black actors/celebrants and as the willing friend of Sinterklaas that he is, and not a comic figure, slave, or buffoon. I know that he has been portrayed by the Dutch for countless generations in blackface, as a celebration for the children, of a long-forgotten historical person, most likely a Moor. However, the time for blackface anywhere has come to an end.

Eat For Your Life- Death to Life Foods for People of the Sun

Eat For Your Life!- Death to Life Foods for People of the Sun

By: Adenike Amen-Ra El aka Kandaki-Ma Nuta Beqsu Moses 11-11-2011

I give honor to our Great Ancient Ancestors! Our Ancestors established civilizations all over the planet. I relate this to one of the oldest creation stories from Ancient KMT - The Ausarian Resurrection. Ausar is the Benevolent Earth sovereign. He is considered to be our Daily Bread and all things Green and Growing. Within this ancient story, Ausar was divided into 14 pieces and buried across the planet. As traditional African people of the Sun KMT- we Ate Well as you can see from the photo above. It was commonplace for our Ancestors to consume a Mediterranean type diet- very much like the Free Original people of East Africa-Nubian Pastoral and the Moors. The Leviticus diet was written into the Mosaic Bible text and there are other Mediterranean diets, like "Kosher"/Hebrew, as well as "Halal"/Islamic traditions. There is also a common tradition of the bounty of foods, found in the west coastal fishermen of African, Caribbean, and South American regions. Black Moors dominated the Latin European regions for almost 1000 years. They brought their knowledge and cultural civilization to the northwest areas of the planet.

We must give honor to our Ancient Ancestors, The Twa/Khosan Hunter-Gatherers. Their lives reflect harmony with creation. Many compare their lifestyle to a Feast and Famine way of life. Their diet was a variety of omnivore consumption, eating with the seasons, as they foraged the land. Nuts, Berries, leaves, insects, Fish. Animal were their first teachers.

During the Trans Atlantic Wars of the 17th Century, our Ancestors were forced to live in the most destitute, uncivilized and inhumane conditions!  Many were severely malnourished and deprived of clean water, and their traditional nutritional access, from the tropical regions, or heritages. Many suffered from long term untreated illnesses and severe wounds and infections. This is Cultural Genocide.

Through their inventiveness, creativity and necessity, many of our ancestors made Succotash (Tuck and Stash) from the Fresh foods that were found and gleaned in nature, and roots, bark, and weeds they learned to make medicines, mixed with meat oils, and learned to eat meat scraps, like oxtails, and cow tongues, into what is now known as gourmet delicacies. Unfortunately, Black people are still consuming a lot of these food scraps, like chitterlings, and pork rinds, to their own detriment.

Yet, There were many free Black kingdoms of people in Europe and the Americas long before 1492. So not all Black people came from the African trans-Atlantic Wars, Invasion, and Human trafficking to the Americas. Many Black Ancestors were murdered or abducted from their lands right here in the Americas. Those who were abducted, often only received the scraps and rejected foods from their enslavers' table or ate from a common trough.

We can give no honor to our Ancestors by modeling and following after the Maafa of suffering and scraping together that they were forced to endure. Our children still suffer from nutritional deficiencies and early onset health challenges, like Diabetes, strokes, and cancers from these nutritionally deficient foods. In consequence, many of our people, torn from their mother's breast, lost the mother wit and knowledge of the natural bounty of berries, roots, hunting, herbs, and growing of our own foods for sustenance and healing.

If you are what you eat- then Slave foods may foster a slave mentality- Garbage in-garbage out. Unfortunately, our people have now become slaves to a tradition and  system of Prescription drugs, injections, surgeries, amputations, and other "medi-sins." Now, with GMO's compromising the Fruits and Vegetables in the grocery stores, and Fast foods with all of the Cool-aid chemically processed, high fructose, adulterated white acid foods, also water and air pollution, we have fallen short of the glory of living as stewards of the land and water resources and growing our own fresh local foods, along with truly caring for the environment. We have also become more sedentary, which lessens the chances of detoxifying from the poisonous effects of these foods, while our Ancestors worked, walked for miles, and sweated from sun-up to sundown in the hot sun. In consequence, Our people are now dying more in the US from food-related and Stress-related Illnesses, and diseases. This is  Black on Black killing, before Homicide!

Our highest death statistics are from stroke, High Blood pressure, Heart Attack, Diabetes and Cancers than anyone in the US. We are dying from the caustic effects of consuming these foods MORE than homicide!

https://ankh-seneb.blogspot.com/2010/10/the-hand-of-death-and-disease.html

We often go to the funerals of our loved ones, and often turn around during repass and serve our remaining families the same foods that killed our loved ones!

From the Bible, the Leviticus Kosher diet called people to abstain from bloody meats, swine, cats, rats and dogs, bottom-feeding scaleless catfish, and shellfish, etc. As "A people perish from lack of knowledge" many families who adopted Christianity, do not even believe in the necessity of following these Old Testament dietary laws. In many cases, they will recite "Rise Peter Slay and Eat" as their anthem. Yet our bodies are "the temple of the Spirit" We are called to cultivate our Minds, Bodies, and Souls to our highest levels.

The New Testament also states:

''I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.'' -Romans 12

NOW WE MUST BE VIGILANT TO RAISE OUR IMMUNE SYSTEMS TO PREPARE FOR A GLOBAL PANDEMIC!

Here are a variety of suggestions for dietary alternatives:

  • WATER is Critical! Getting enough Clean Drinking water every day is important for your health. Healthy people meet their fluid needs by drinking when thirsty. Most of your fluid needs are met through the water and beverages you drink. However, you can get some fluids through the foods that you eat. For example, broth soups and foods with high water content such as Watermelon, celery, tomatoes, Coconuts, or other melons can contribute to fluid intake. http://amen-parankh.blogspot.com/2016/07/nu-is-water-source-of-life-drink.html
  • Attitude is Altitude. Breathe Love, Life, Joy, and positive energy into your foods as you select and prepare them. Just as mother's milk is poisoned from fear, anger, or depression etc., all life can sense this energy. As you then consequently pass this into your loved ones, who are eating your meals. So Home Cooked Meals are best. Ergo, be cautious of restaurants, and even food handlers- This is another reason why Growing your own foods- to send each leaf stem, root and fruit, positive energy- as each plant gives energy back to you. Knowing your grower and chef is so important. -And I might add, this is why we bless our foods with gratitude.
  • RAW IS BEST! Eat more fresh locally grown Alkaline vegetables, nuts, beans, and fruits. Avoid over-processed grains like wheat, rice, and corn flours, etc.. Or choose Whole, Multi, and sprouted grain alternatives. Salads and Smoothies, including sprouted beans and sprouted grains, have the highest levels of enzymes. Processed grains and devitalized flours and white rice will raise one's glucose levels. Eating Cruciferous (Anti-Cancer) Vegetables, Like Broccoli, and cauliflower are excellent.
  • We can Heal ourselves! Everything we need biologically is in the natural environment anyway- right Now! We are Mind/Body/Spirit. We must raise our consciousness to raise our immunity and resistance to Illness- Sickness- and Dis-ease... LOCAL alkaline water, local yard foods like Dandelion greens, and Perslane, Herbal teas like Peppermint, Local Bee Polin, probiotics (Kombucha, Fermented Foods, like sauerkraut, Horseradish, mushrooms. Then regiments like- Intentional Breathing, Meditation, Earth Grounding, Sun/Moon/Star blinking Circadian Rhythm Sleep Patterns, Intentional exercise, etc. are fundamental.

  • We did NOT originally eat Grass... (All Grains are grass hybrids). With the rise of "Mon-satan" GMOs, (Bayer/Monsanto) most people, particularly, African Americans, are not only suffering from a health crisis due to an overload of complex carbohydrates from starchy grains like Wheat, Corn, and white rice, but from the toxic pesticides, growth hormones, and artificial fertilizers, (that most food in the grocery store is made from...) Many are moving towards a Vegan, Vegetarian, Fruitarian, Mediterranean/ paleo diet; of Vegetables, fruit, and fish... Now African Americans, are Dying from food choices, related illnesses...
  • If It has no seeds- don't eat. We should be able to reproduce the fruit that we eat.
  • Remember, the taste that many crave from their favorite meat is found in the many herbs, vegetables, and sauces that are used to season that piece of meat. and enhance the flavor. So eating less meat and more vegetables is a good protocol.  Always start cooking your protein, beans, and vegetable entrees with a base of finely chopped onions and garlic to lower blood pressure among many other advantages
  • Avoid Fried, Canned, and overcooked vegetables. These Vegetables lack the vital nutrients for your body. Steam, lightly Boil, Bake or Roast Vegetables. Avoid too much Acrylamide. This is often found in the carcinogenic dark browning and toasting on foods. (raw is best)
  • Try using Coconut butter and Olive oils as an alternative to animal fats and margarine.
  • When choosing protein, always remember that the strongest animals in the Natural world are Vegetarians! Elephants, Horses, Donkeys, Bulls, Buffalo, great Apes, etc... Only scavengers and carnivores eat other animals RAW. So they also don't pre-digest or cook their meats. The highest quantities of protein that is readily consumable and easily digestible are found in dark green leafy vegetables and dark-skinned fruits, nuts, and beans.
  • If you choose to eat animal flesh, eat it sparingly as a garnish rather than a main course. Avoid Industrialized Animals. Venison, Fish, or free-range organic flesh including Goat and Lamb, should be preferred. For best digestion, eat animal flesh protein with Vegetables rather than protein with Starches and complex Carbohydrates- Bread, pasta ect. (That's why eating Turkey with starches make you sleepy)
  • Remember- " Don't cook a calf in it's mother's milk" - Cheese and eggs- don't go together, hamburgers with cheese, Pizzas with beef and cheese, Hamburger helper etc. will cancel proper digestion.
  • Avoid ALL White foods, that are highly processed and preserved. These include Sugar, Salt, Wheat, White Rice, Corn, white Potatoes, and Dairy Products. Lower and eliminate Sugar and complex Carbohydrate intake. Avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup, corn flours, and corn starch, often hidden in foods. These Starches create mucus and feed a variety of Parasites, Flukes, and cancer cells.   Try Real Fruit Juices, Maple syrup, Stevia leaves, Honey, or dried fruit as sugar alternatives.
  • Lower Salt Content. Too much salt, like sugar, is dehydrating and hard on the liver and kidneys. Try using Sea Salt sparingly. As an alternative. Dulse Seaweed can make supply salt and seasoning. Braggs Liquid Aminos – liquid amino acids are SO much more than a soy sauce alternative! This flavorful sauce is awesome on steamed vegetables, used to season pan-fried tofu or tempeh, or in all kinds of sauces. A ½ tsp serving contains just 160 mg of sodium and has 16 essential and non-essential amino acids. Kelp Granules – this sea vegetable is a great source of calcium, magnesium, B vitamins, iodine, and a number of other vitamins/minerals. Dulse is often used as a salt substitute. Nutritional Yeast – Nutritional yeast has a rich, savory, “cheesy” flavor that makes it a great salt substitute. It is an excellent addition to creamy sauces, sprinkled over popcorn, or added to rice or quinoa (learn more about the health benefits here!) Nutritional yeast is sold at many health food stores and is also widely available online. Herbs and Spices – season your meals with the right combination of herbs and spices and you won’t even miss the salt! The possibilities are endless, but a few favorites include basil, cumin, dill, garlic, ginger, oregano, rosemary, and thyme.
  • Eating a more Alkaline diet is fundamentally an essential path to wellness. Most of the foods that I have cautioned are considered Acidic on the pH charts of Alkaline foods.

  • Avoid eating after Sunset. People of the Sun with active Pineal glands switch from making and distributing Serotonin in the day, to Melatonin at night. So, our stomachs need to fast so that blood energy can properly be used for healing and nurturing other vital body organs.
  • Eating Locally Grown, and Native plants are the best foods.  Remember that most of the "foods" in the grocery stores are Clones and GMO replicas of what we once knew as food. They come to local food warehouses (grocers) from long distances and cold, gassed irradiated storage conditions. We develop Antibodies and immunity to diseases, by eating locally grown foods.
    • Furaha Nia Quote: "Buying organic is about more than just eating healthy. It is about supporting life. And supporting our growers who provide life. If we continue to buy genetically modified foods (that do not reproduce themselves) then our agriculturists will be forced to produce and market what sells - GMO. One day, there may be no self-reproducing food. Meaning... You cannot take a seed out of it and put it in the ground. And that's when we will truly see this US government show out."
  • That is why We Should GROW OUR OWN FOODS! In order to Free Ourselves, We must Feed Ourselves! If you live in an apartment or don't think you have the energy or time to attend to a garden for your family, sprout your beans and seeds before consuming. Grow your own Container garden of fresh herbs. You can grow indoors often right at your window sill. This is the best way to get vital nutrients directly into your prepared foods.
  • Learn basic CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver. for potential heart attacks and choking at family events. Check with our elders during bathroom times. Most Heart Attacks occur during bathroom times, from drinking too hot/ too cold water to straining on the toilet. Remember, statistically, it often takes up to an extra 10 minutes or more, after the 911 call for an ambulance or paramedic to arrive in an African American neighborhood.
At Amen Ankh Urban Farm, we grow and produce foods, fresh from our local farm, and growers.

I would like to encourage readers to watch Soul Food Junkie-

-I would also like to add a final note that not only is death winning overabundant and healthy lives for our families, many of our loved ones are not only leaving this world prematurely, with High Blood Pressure, Heart attacks, and strokes Cancers, etc.- But because of their food choices, they also live or shall I say subsist with obesity, Blindness, Amputations, crippling Arthritis, Cancers, colostomy bags and are pumped so full of drugs that they become a hardship to their families and society. I am neither a Doctor nor part of the American Medical Association; I am a Teacher, Mother, Daughter, and Grandmother who is working on my own health and wellness journey. It is my ministry to teach our youth to live in a green sustainable way. We eat what we grow and rarely go to the grocery store. We have established the Amen Ankh Academy and Urban Children's teaching farm. I feed students who come by my door. Instead of grass growing in our front yard, we have fresh herbs growing in the front yard this summer. Many youths have never eaten a mango, an avocado, or even green peppers, or a homegrown tomato. Most eat starchy school lunches and Fast Foods when they get home. Moms often do not have time to make a home-cooked meals. I had children tell me that they didn't know that you could grow food in the ground! Now, these children can identify herbs, eat plantain greens, dandelions, and drink peppermint tea with Stevia leaves as a sweetener!

On a personal note, as a child I can remember eating My Mother’s "Southern" Cooking. We ate Roota to da toota from the hog- ham, bacon, pig feet, lard biscuits, etc.! I loved my mom’s cooking- I also had a weight challenge most of my life until I became a vegetarian and African dancer. I remember her fluffy lard biscuits with fresh Butter and jam! I remember her frying bacon then frying eggs in the same grease, then saving the remaining grease to add flavor to her greens, beans, adding this grease to the sweet cornbread, or heating and frying chicken or catfish in it, etc. Almost Everything had pork and sugar in it. I ate cracklins fried from the Holiday ham. Even the sweet potato and pecan pie had a lard crust. We ate ham hocks and neck-bones in the Collard green pot, pickled pig-feet and hog-head cheese, and of course Chittlins! I also remember drinking, SWEET Lemonade, SWEET Tea and Cool-aid with my sugar water! We had grits, pancakes, creamed corn, lard based gravy, candied yams and cheesy macaroni!

Then I remember my Dad's first heart attack. I am a proud Daughter of a Father who was a Warrior in the US Military. He served almost 30 years in the Air Force. During that time, an Air Force candidate had to also pass a rigorous written examination to even qualify. It was rare for Indigo men to serve in the Air Force, also because of the severe racism and still existing segregation at that time. So he had a battle for survival everyday, inside and outside of his military experience. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to travel abroad in the world. After his heart attack, my dad began reading about health and wellness. He learned about herbs, Apple Cider Vinegar Protocols, and other Alternative healing modalities.  I imagine my Mother may have been so hurt when my dad rejected her cooking- yet, she refused to change or modify ANYTHING... Of course, this is the tradition that she was raised in! She took pride in her daily, Sunday, and Holiday dinners with the family. We always dressed for dinner. I learned to use my best etiquette and manners. This is when I learned to set a table and also learned so much about food preparation, culinary arts, cleaning and polishing. By the time Mom reluctantly broke down to change her dietary system- to using smoked turkey instead of ham hocks, vegetable oils instead of Lard, baked chicken- instead of fried, and Stevia, instead of sugar, or even aspartame sweetener ( which she later changed to agave), for flavor and seasoning, my dad had both feet cut off and was going blind. My dad also refused to take medications for high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and his strokes. Although he had heard about homeopathic medicines and Herbs- he did not know anyone around him to guide him through... Finally, His pride would not let him use prosthetics or a wheel chair, so he starved himself and ascended...

This southern cooking, also known as Soul Food is part of a heritage of Black culture in the US. Food is not only a source of nutrition, but a way of expressing love and comfort. Yet, Just because Our enslaved ancestors were industrious with pork-based slave foods does not mean that we should continue to serve these foods to our children and families, unchecked, to suffer and die, to join our honored ancestors. Primarily, Food has drastically changed. We now live in a highly processed world of Industrial farmers and imported foods. Small organic farmers are outmatched by most conditioned consumer demands. Most of the animals found in the supermarket were caged, neglected, and shot up with growth hormones and antibiotics for a higher turnover of sale. The GMO Grains (Wheat and Corn), Fruits and Vegetables come irradiated and with the insecticide build into the seed's DNA. These foods are acid-based and are harsh to our vital organs. They strip the endocrine glands, starve the brain, while overworking the brain’s endorphins and dopamine, like a narcotic. Our children suffer more intensely. Sugar and high fructose corn syrup products are a gateway to all addictions and addictive behaviors. Our youth now suffer from childhood obesity, diabetes, cancers, arthritis, and stroke. We have to wake up to yes, acknowledge and revere the legacy of our Ancestors and “How they got over;” then move on to higher health and wellness standards and goals for the sake of our next generations.

I am interested in de-colonializing my mind, body and soul, from habits, lifestyle, information and diet that I have learned from an alien society. I choose to move into a way of life that most closely aligns with my NATURAL anthropology.
Indigo People of Afrikan Descent have been removed from our natural environment and have in turn adopted lifestyles that are ill suited and make us disproportionately ill. There is a real biochemistry to eating that I am learning more about daily. It resonates with previous knowledge and experience. I am personally on a DAILY mission to challenge all previous misinformation and diversions to my cultural way of life because, clearly that information has been hazardous.

BLACK LIVES MATTER! We want to learn about liberation and Black empowerment, but we must want to LIVE liberation and Black power. Our Health is our Greatest Wealth. Please invest in our local Urban farming initiatives. Actions speak louder than voice. We are killing the children of our ancestry for material things. We live in an addiction society and everyone wants their fix... Once you know the REAL- we must live in the REAL. We can't go back into the matrix. Dua (Th-ankh you!) ♥.

Amen Par Ankh and Amen Ankh Urban Farm were established across the span of 2009 and 2012. We organized as a non-profit Par Ankh (House of Life) that focuses on serving the community as an outreach for balanced change by providing spiritual, emotional, mental and physical life options. Focused on the spiritual aspects of healing and self-help, seminars, classes, Libations, Cultural Arts Events and services, spiritual teachings and private Consultations sessions are offered. In 2012 The Amen Ankh Urban Farm was opened as a Teaching and Therapeutic farm to show the economically sustainable possibilities that any family can have right in the middle of a food desert and urban neighborhood. We began doing business as Amen Par Ankh Wellness Center and opened our second location, the Auset Pr Ankh. Since the opening of our offices, hundreds of people have benefited from profound emotional, spiritual, and physical improvements and have been provided the tools to continue moving themselves forward toward life health, prosperity and wellness.

Nestled in the heart of Kansas City’s Urban Core, The Amen Par Ankh is a place where people find healing and refuge from their everyday lives and problems. Working one-on-one with individuals, a customized plan is developed to meet their needs through hands-on energy work, nutritional counseling and spiritual advisement by offering traditional and non-traditional spiritual, mental and physical healing systems designed to inspire the body…calm the mind…and soothe the soul.
The purpose in creating our Par Ankh (temple of life) gathering is to share in the knowledge of Aboriginal People of this Planet in who we really are. And to rebuild the 14 pieces of Ausar- our temple of man.

We practice Urban Agriculture using the Chapter 88-312 Kansas City ordinances, established by the Kansas City Council in 2010,  as follows:

88-312-02-A. HOME GARDEN
A garden maintained by one or more individuals who reside in a dwelling unit located on the subject property. Food and/or horticultural products grown in the home garden may be used for personal consumption, and only whole, uncut, fresh food and/or horticultural products grown in a home garden may be donated or sold on-site within a reasonable time of its harvest. The sales may only take place during the period of May 15 through October 15. Row crops are not permitted in the front yard of a residentially zoned and occupied property, except property zoned R-80, if whole, uncut fresh food and/or horticultural products grown in the home garden are donated or sold onsite. "Row crops" shall be defined as grain, fruit or vegetable plants, grown in rows, which are 24 inches or more in height. "Row crops" shall not mean cultivated or attended trees, bushes, or shrubbery less than 6 feet in height, or trees in excess of 6 feet in height, and shall not include grain, fruit or vegetable plants that are part of the front yard's borders, that extend no more than 5 feet from the side property lines or from the front of the principal building. A home garden is an accessory use to a principal residential use, and must comply with the lot and building standards for its zoning district. On-site sales made in accordance with this section shall not be considered to be commercial activity under this Code, and shall not be subject to the restrictions for home occupations in 88-305-04. Section 88-10-08-C shall govern any conflict between the provisions of this section and any private homeowner covenants or restrictions. Any area of land that is managed and maintained in a manner that fits within the description of Community Supported Agriculture in 88-312-02-C cannot be considered to be a Home Garden.

88-312-02-B. COMMUNITY GARDEN
An area of land managed and maintained by a group of individuals to grow and harvest food and/or horticultural products for personal or group consumption or for sale or donation. A community garden area may be divided into separate garden plots for cultivation by one or more individuals or may be farmed collectively by members of the group. A community garden may include common areas (e.g., hand tool storage sheds) maintained and used by the group. The Community Garden must comply with the lot and building standards for its zoning district. All chemicals and fuels shall be stored in an enclosed, locked structure when the site is unattended. Community garden group members may or may not reside on the subject property. Sales and donation of only whole, uncut, fresh food and/or horticultural products grown in the community garden may occur on-site on otherwise vacant property, but may not occur on residentially zoned and occupied property, except property zoned R-80. Row crops are not permitted in the front yard of a residentially zoned and occupied property, except property zoned R-80, if whole, uncut fresh food and/or horticultural products grown in the community garden are donated or sold onsite. A community garden may be a principal or accessory use. Any area of land that is managed and maintained in a manner that fits within the description of Community Supported Agriculture in 88-312-02-C cannot be considered to be a Community Garden.

88-312-02-C. COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE (CSA)
An area of land managed and maintained by an individual or group of individuals to grow and harvest food and/or horticultural products for shareholder consumption or for sale or donation. Under the CSA model, shareholders arrange to work on the farm in exchange for a share of the food and/or horticultural products grown on the CSA property and/or pay for a portion of the food and/or horticultural products in advance. A CSA may be a principal or accessory use. A CSA located in a residential zoning district, except R-80, requires a special use permit issued in accordance with the special use permit procedures of 88-525. A special use permit shall not be issued unless all of the approval criteria in 88-525-09 are satisfied. The permit is also subject to the following additional standards.

1. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Standards
(a) Garden and farm-related buildings and structures must comply with the accessory structure setback requirements that apply in the subject zoning district (See 88-305). Farmed areas must be set back at least 3 feet from all property lines. The required setback must be covered with ground cover plants, which may include grasses.
(b) Row crops are not permitted in the front yard of a residentially zoned and occupied property, except property zoned R-80, if whole, uncut fresh food and/or horticultural products grown on the CSA property are donated or sold onsite.
(c) The CSA must comply with the lot and building standards for its zoning district.
(d) Shareholders may pick up food and/or horticultural products grown on the CSA property at the site and may work at the site.
(e) The site must be designed and maintained so that chemicals will not drain onto adjacent property.
(f) Tractors, lawnmowers, and other farm-related machinery in R-10 through R-0.3 residential districts must be stored in an enclosed structure.
(g) Interns and apprentices may be allowed to work on the CSA property.
(h) All chemicals and fuels shall be stored in an enclosed, locked structure when the site is unattended.
(i) Synthetic pesticides or herbicides may be applied only in accordance with state and federal regulations.
(j) Sales and donation of only whole, uncut, fresh food and/or horticultural products grown on the CSA property may be allowed.
(k) Reasonable conditions for the operation of the CSA may be imposed.
(l) The permit may be granted for an initial period of one year. Subsequent renewals may be allowed for up to 5 years if the CSA has complied with all of the requirements of the permit for the previous permit period.
(m) Section 88-10-08-C shall govern any conflict between the provisions of this section and any private homeowner covenants or restrictions.
